This letter deals with life in Clear Creek during the Civil War. M. E. sends a letter previously by handing it to a Mr. W. to take to Greenville so that it would be mailed. Mr. Wm. [Ganievaw] lost the letter. She tells that Cousin Lettie died. Cousin Wm. is going to let Mary have the children. Everyone is healthy except Idelah who has been horse and with a cough.
