This diary constitutes Sergeant John Ibaugh's personal account of his service with the 29th Pennsylvania Infantry during the Civil War. Ibaugh describes the push on the Confederate Army during the Battle of Nashville in 1864 and small skirmishes with Confederate guerilla troops at Tunnel Hill.
