Hodges from Piper and includes a handwritten inscription by Piper in the front of the book dated June 1931.

This collection includes a notepad with a handwritten letter describing the life of Charles Cummings from 1767 to 1812, and it is dated March 25, 1850. The notes include his work with presbyteries, his marriage to Millie Carter, and personal stories. The notes are addressed to David Campbell at Montcalm, Abingdon, Virginia. On the inside cover of the notebook is written “Mary E. Spencer” and “Knoxville High School”.
