According to an accompanying note, the list was found in the attic of the editor, F. S. Heiskell. The date 1820 is indicated by the reference on page 112 to the Emancipator, an anti-slavery paper published in that year in Jonesboro. The numbers after the names are probably the number of issues of the Register...
