This collection features a twelve-chapter manuscript of Early Inns and Hostelries in the East Tennessee Country, 1760-1860
written by LaReine Warden Clayton. The manuscript, 25 typed pages in length, contains hand-written editing notes from Clayton as well. This is a draft of her later book, published in 1995, Stories of Early Inns and Taverns of the East Tennessee Country.
