Scope and Contents Note From the Collection: The Lucinda Ogle Collection (1885-2003) details early life in the Smoky Mountains. Lucinda Ogle was the daughter of Wiley and Rebecca Oakley. Wiley Oakley was known as the "Roaming Man of the Mountains", for his expertise in storytelling, for his comprehensive knowledge of the mountains, and for his guided tours throughout the Smoky Mountains.
