This collection contains the diary of Dr. Amos R. Garrison of Knoxville, Tennessee. Garrison's diary spans the years 1898 to 1902 with the bulk of the passages in reference to the people he met, the places he visited (including Chattanooga, TN; Louisville, KY; Salt Lake City, UT; and San Francisco, CA), and both his schooling and his teaching.

The Dr. Andrew J. Kozar Sr. Papers document the academic and professional career of University of Tennessee physical educator Dr. Andrew “Andy” Kozar. These papers include personal papers and correspondence, administrative records, teaching materials, publications, research materials, and reading files from 1885-2007, with the bulk of the material dating 1951-2007.

The Dr. Andrew Kang Oral History, 2002, is a typescript from an oral history interview with Dr. Andrew Kang by Dr. Kurt Piehler and Crystal Dover of the University of Tennessee for the Veteran's Oral History Project conducted by the Center for the Study of War and Society. The interview focuses primarily on his World War II experiences.

This collection contains two copies of Ten Generations of the Bender Family in North Carolina by Dr. Bill Bender for his son Willie Bender. It traces the Bender family and their history from Willie Bender to Martin Bender, whose sons fought in the American Revolution.

This collection houses notebooks, charts, computer data sheets, correspondence, photos, reprints, and designs documenting Dr. Charles Congdon's research in radiation biology. There are also papers and research materials contributed by Egon Lorenz, Joanne Hollcroft, Arnold Van Pelt, C. Lowell Edwards, and T. Phillip Waalkes.

This collection houses typewritten and handwritten outlines of Dr. Charlie Reeves' economics and accounting courses taught in the 1930s.

The Dr. Harold Diftler Oral History, 2003 is a typescript from an oral history interview with Dr. Harold Diftler by Dr. Kurt Piehler and Brad Mason of the University of Tennessee for the Veteran's Oral History Project conducted by the Center for the Study of War and Society. The interview focuses primarily on his World War II experiences, but also covers pre-war and post-war periods.

Dr. Henry Hayes, an army physician, wrote this letter to a friend in Vermont. In the letter, Dr. Hayes discusses the aftermath of the Fort Pillow Massacre.

The Dr. Herbert Acuff Scrapbook, 1948-1955 (bulk 1948), consists primarily of congratulatory letters sent to Acuff upon his election as president of the International College of Surgeons in 1948. Also included are loose items, including letters, academic articles, and clippings, that were found inserted in the front of the book.

The Dr. Hermes Grillo Oral History, 2002, is a typescript from an oral history interview with Dr. Hermes Grillo by Dr. Kurt Piehler and Crystal Dover of the University of Tennessee for the Veteran's Oral History Project conducted by the Center for the Study of War and Society. The interview focuses primarily on his World War II experiences, but also covers pre-war and post-war periods. Dr. Grillo shares the experience of surgery on the war front.

This collection houses manuscripts from Dr. Carlson's articles and research.

This interview covers Pointer's boyhood on a farm in Heiskell, Tenn. (Knox County) through his experience flying as a pilot in WWII.

This collection consists of six letters written to Dr. James Macdonald in London, England and Paris, France, while he was on tours of Europe, visiting mental institutions and noting improvements in the care and treatment of patients.

The Dr. James R. Montgomery Papers span the years 1887 to 1990 with the bulk of the interviews and correspondence dated during the 1960s and 1970s. The collection consists primarily of personal interviews and research concerning the University of Tennessee between 1887 and 1945. Also included are business correspondence and files.

The Karl Z. Morgan Papers house a variety of materials documenting Dr. Morgan's tenure at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The collection consists primarily of documents and reports but also contains a number of road maps and travel brochures, a Monnaie de Paris Eisenhower commemorative coin, and an American bicentennial commemorative bag.

This collection houses the bulk of K.Z. Morgan's papers. Among the subjects documented are the Manhattan Project, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the detection of ionizing radiation, and radiation safety.

This collection houses correspondence, clippings, published works, and photographs documenting Kenneth Curry's work with James Agee and Robert Southey as well as Curry's collection of British autographs.

These papers document Dr. DeRidder's role in the administration of the Department of Educational Psychology, including the development of new programs and curricula. Also of note is the material showing the development of Psychology curricula in secondary education.
