E. Waldo Stacy Letter
This collection contains a letter, dated March 9, 1864 from camp at Mossy Creek, Tenn., from E. Waldo Stacy of the 36th Massachusetts Infantry. The letter details the events of February 23-March 9, 1864. Stacy and his regiment advanced to Strawberry Plains before withdrawing to Mossy Creek (now Jefferson City). He describes an encounter with a drunken rebel lieutenant.
Eakin Family Record
This collection contains a single manuscript compiled by Marion S. Adams titled "Eakin Family History." The document covers the Eakin family lineage beginning in Ireland in 1761 with the birth of John Eakin. Adams writes in an introduction that the Eakins family was once one of the most prominent families in Nashville.

Earl S. Wilson Memoir
This collection is the World War II memoir of Earl S. Wilson, particularly Wilson’s time training in 1942. The manuscript is a 21-page typed document, made in 1987. The memoir begins with Wilson’s entry into the service in July 1942 and follows him through the end of the year; he recounts stories of his training at Camp Wolters, Fort Leonard Wood, and the University of Kentucky. Wilson later served in the Pacific Theater of War, though this time is not covered in this manuscript.

Earle Wright Letters
Earle Wright wrote these letters to his family in Cortland, New York in July and August of 1917. In them, he discusses his life at a training camp in Chattanooga, Tennessee during World War I. Most of the correspondence is addressed to E. R. Wright or Laura Wright but is meant for the entire family to read.

Early Map of Memphis, Tennessee
This collection contains a a rare, early map of what would eventually become Memphis, Tennessee. This map shows the divisions of a tract of land belonging to Andrew Jackson, John Overton, and James Winchester. This copy of the map is thought to have been created on June 8, 1836.

This collection houses a series of papers circulated among the University of Tennessee faculty between 1893 and 1905. A large portion of the material consists of correspondence between faculty members and various students requesting course substitutions or more time to complete their degrees.
