This collection houses an unused East Tennessee University Board of Trustees Ballot from 1877.

This collection contains an oversized photograph of the East Tennessee University during the Civil War. It was taken from the south side of the Tennessee River looking towards the Hill and shows Old College, East College, and West College.

This collection contains documents from the Office of East Tennessee & Virginia Rail Road Company in 1854. Included is a dray ticket, a letter to James L. Coile and sons about money owed for shares of stock in the company, and copy of a resolution to the Board of Directors regarding stock money collection arrangements.

This collection features a single, mounted black and white photograph of 6 female patients and 15 female nurses from the Eastern State Hospital for the Insane dating circa 1915.

The Eaton W. Bennett Collection consists of three folders, which contain maps of Okinawa, a History of the 233rd General Hospital (1945), and assorted materials such as a menu, bulletin, and maps.

This collection includes a cash sales account book for the Economy Millwork Manufacturing Company in Vestal, Tennessee from 1828-1829.

This collection consists of roughly six thousand political cartoons drawn by editorial cartoonist Ed Gamble on bristol board dating from the early 1970s to 2013. The cartoons depict both domestic and foreign political hot topics and cover events including political campaigns, foreign wars, and political scandals.

This autographed memoir, entitled "My Last Mission", describes Lieutenant Colonel Ed Merkel's time, May 1943 -July 1945, as a B-17 pilot and German POW during World War II.

G. Kurt Piehler and Shelley Stafford conducted this interview with Vietnam veteran Ed Shore in Louisville, Tennessee on April 17, 2009. In it, Shore discusses his service with the Marine Corps in Vietnam as well as his impoverished childhood in eastern Tennessee and his experiences as a student at the University of Tennessee.

In this interview, Edgar C. Wilson discusses the end of his service in World War II and his postwar life in Knoxville, Tennessee.

This collection consists of two pamphlets distributed to United States and Allied troops during World War II. The U. S. War Department distributed the first of these booklets to American troops newly arrived in England to provide them with an introduction to English culture. The second pamphlet was given to all Allied troops and highlights various aspects of Paris nightlife and tourist attractions.

This collection contains two letters from Edgar Arthurs, one to his sister and one to his brother. The letters were both written from Columbia, Tennessee, while his unit was marching from Nashville, Tennessee to Athens, Alabama.

The collection consists of one scrapbook belonging to Edgar H. Stegall, a Knoxville area businessman, around 1917. It contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, business cards, postcards, and other small pieces of ephemera.

This collection consists of three letters written from Newburn, Tennessee, between December 4, 1917 and March 28, 1918 by Edgar Johnson of Company E of the 306th Ammunition Train (81st Division). The letters are addressed to Johnson's wife, Etta, and daughter, Lila, and discuss camp life, life at home, and the possibility of returning home for a visit.

This collection houses three 1918 letters written by Edgar Johnson at Camp Jackson in Columbia, S.C., to his wife Etta and daughter Lila Johnson in Newbern, Tenn. The letters mainly document his daily activities and conversations with others. He also expresses his distaste for war and his longing to return home.

This collection houses a published history of the 80th Division detailing its training and combat experiences, several photos of a veteran's reunion, a photograph of Edgar Wilson, and correspondence documenting veterans' associations. One memoir recalls Captain Sam Williams.

The Edgar Wilson Oral History, 2003-2004, is a typescript of an oral history interview with Edgar Wilson by Dr. Kurt Piehler, Greg Kupsky, and Patrick Leverton of the University of Tennessee for the Veteran's Oral History Project conducted by the Center for the Study of War and Society. The interview focuses primarily on Wilson's World War II experiences, but also covers pre-war and post-war periods.

This collection houses Edgar Wilson's scrapbook documenting a 1992 reunion of the 2nd Battalion of the 319th Infantry (nicknamed the Wreckin' Second). The scrapbook contains primarily letters and flyers showing the planning of the event, which took place in Pigeon Forge and Knoxville on May 14, 1992, and photographs from the reunion. Also included is some information on the battalion's history.

This collection includes one typed copy of General Robert R. Neyland's edited autobiography. Topics covered include Neyland's deployment during the World War I &II, his political views, and his coaching career. The copy is hardback and has pencil marks for editing errors throughout the entire piece.

This collection is composed of a variety of letters and other documents by Edith Erskine in 1971. Several of her ancestors are notable in east Tennessee history, and this collection provides more information on their genealogy and role in early Knoxville.
