Abstract

The Ben Atchley Papers include records from the life and career of Ben Atchley, a Republican politician from the State of Tennessee. The collection spans from 1965 to 2003 and focuses almost entirely on Atchley's career as a State Representative (1972-1976), State Senator (1977-2005), and Senate Republican Caucus Chairman (1983-1985).

Abstract Don Sundquist represented Tennessee’s seventh district in the United States House of Representatives for six terms (1982-1994) before serving as Governor of Tennessee from 1995 to 2003. Abstract

This addendum to the papers of former Senator Howard H. Baker contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, photographs, schedules, speeches and other material related to the Senator's career and personal life. While some papers in the addendum cover roughly the same time and events as the Howard H. Baker Papers (MPA.101), this addendum also documents the Senator's political, legal and personal activities before and after his tenure in the Senate and White House.

Abstract This collection contains materials gathered by Lee Annis, Jr., for his biography of Howard Baker, titled Howard Baker: Conciliator in an Age of Crisis.
