John C. Taylor Memoir

Overview

This collection consists of John C. Taylor's typescript memoir, "To Be a P.F.C." At approximately 100 pages, the memoir details Taylor's experiences during World War II serving with the 227th Field Artillery Battalion, 29th Division. Included are Taylor's remembrances of training in Hawaii, particularly during the Japanese attack in 1941, and later serving abroad in France.
