This collection is that of Albert F. Tramposch, Staff Sergeant of the 529th Fighter Squadron stationed in China during World War Two. Abstract This collection consists of a letter from Alfred Roessel, a German POW being held in Camp Crossville, Tenn., to his wife, Irmgard Roessel, in Leipzig, Germany. It discusses the weather in Crossville, the camp's scenery, and various of Roessel's activities. It also lets Irmgard know that her "lovely photograph" arrived safely, and conveys greetings to his family. Alice Boehret Correspondence

This collection consists of correspondence written by Alice Boehret during her service with the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. Boehret wrote almost daily letters between 1942 and 1946 to her family, mainly her sisters and mother, and document her time in the European Theater of War, particularly with the 74th General Hospital.

American National Red Cross Cap or Beanie Knitting Pattern

This collection includes one photocopy of Arthur B. Cox Jr.’s autobiography, “Escape through Enemy Territory.” The story details Cox’s service with the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the European Theater, including his experience of being shot down over France, spending time with a French family before escaping to Spain, and spending a month in a Spanish prison before being rescued.
