This collection consists of two letters and a report that deal primarily with Native American relations near Nashville, Tennessee.

This collection houses a single handwritten letter from John Sevier to an Honorable [M] Smith in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1792 regarding the region's escalating hostilities with the Creek and Cherokee nations.

This document contains a list of items given to two Cherokee Indians in exchange for the return of ten horses stolen from the Creek Nations. In lieu of money, the payment was in goods. The document was signed by several Indian Agents, including Francis B. Sappington, in December 1797 and January 1798.

This collection is comprised of a single receipt signed by Solomoon Morr and John Kelley to David Henley, war department agent. The receipt was written on March 26, 1797, Knoxville, Tennessee. It was given as an advance of two-hundred dollars for the transportation of Creeks, Chickasaws, and Cherokee Indians from Philadelphia to Knoxville.
