The ledger is divided into columns documenting the names, ages, attendance, and academic performance of approximately 19 students between September of 1875 and January of 1876. The subjects taught include Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Grammar, Geography, U. S. History, and Elementary Geology of Tennessee.
