Twenty-three students compiled information from various oral sources to analyze local folklore and checked the validity of these reports with written sources. It also houses Dr. Lofaro's research on William Byrd's Commonplace. There is a wide range of topics from Appalachian quilts, superstitions, and home remedies to drinking games, BDSM slang, and jump rope rhymes. It includes student papers from the following semesters: Spring 1999, Summer 1999, Fall 1999, Spring 2001, and Summer 2005.
