This collection consists of a three-page typescript from Alice Deadrick Grainger about her experience in Knoxville schools.

The 1954-1955 report card of Alzada Knickerbocker records the progress of the child of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Knickerbocker over four quarters, culminating with the assignment of Alzada to the 6th grade on June 3, 1955, by teacher Miss Anna Davidson.

This collection consists of committee meeting notes about building decisions, articles on the history of the school, and land indentures related to Farragut High School.

This collection houses a letter from H. S. Kennedy, writing from Silver Springs, Tennessee on May 5, 1873. Kennedy reports on the progress of setting up public schools in Wilson County, provides a list of local officials, and suggests reorganizing the school district.

This collection consists mainly of lists of teachers in Knox County, between 1939-1940 and 1956-1957. Also included are several letters from 1946 concerning Knox County school and library business affairs and Brickey's 1946 day planner.

This document is a contract between the State of Tennessee and Philip Denham to teach school in Washington and Carter Counties in 1802. It covers Denham's duties as School Master, his rate of pay, and the back of the document has a list of students and their time spent at the school, located at Joseph Denton Lane.

Sarah Sally (Wells) Jackson wrote these letters between 1969 and 1970 while she was a new schoolteacher and librarian for Knoxville City Schools' Fair Garden School. In these letters, Wells highlights her experiences looking for and securing employment at the school, the trials and tribulations of running the school's library, and her home life with husband James J. J. Jackson, an employee of Miller's Department Store.
