This scrapbook of Abigail F. Willmarth Speer's contains an index for a history course as well as various news clippings about her husband, Rev. Samuel W. Speer, and his involvement in the field of female education.

This elaborately embossed journal is a Philopaena Album filled with poems of friendship from many of Phebe Havely's friends. Some were written from Endor Cottage, Tennessee, and others from Morristown, Tennessee. In the back, Havely's daughters Katie and Hattie have also signed the book.

Johnson, Sr., board member of the Knoxville branch, put the book together. The articles cover a variety of topics but mainly discuss the YPSCE convention held in Washington, DC in July 1896.
