This collection consists of several documents pertaining to the 3rd Regiment Cavalry U.S. Colored Troops of Vicksburg, Mississippi and to First Lieutenant Frank C. Lovejoy of the 3rd Regiment. Many of the letters pertain to accusations made against Lovejoy about him improperly enlisting recruits and overstaying a leave of absence.
