W. Lewis Wood Oral History
This folder contains the transcript of an interview with W. Lewis Wood, dated 3 August 2002, conducted in Memphis, Tenn., by Kurt Piehler and Nashwa Van Houts of the Veteran's Oral History Project. Wood discusses his childhood in Memphis, his experiences as an engineering student at the University of Tennessee, and his time serving in the US Navy and Army during World War II and the Korean War, respectively.
W. M. Creamer Letter
This collection consists of a letter, dated February 24, 1863 from Camp Cripplecrick, Tenn., from W. M. Creamer of the 90th Ohio Infantry to his cousin, M. C. Creamer. The author discusses his religious beliefs as well as Captain Robert O. Caddy's treatment of sick young boys in Nashville.

This collection consists of two notebooks of lecture notes written by W. Neil Franklin during his tenure at the University of Tennessee. The notebooks are dated between 1922 and 1924 and feature notes about economics, government, European history, and United States history.

W. P. D. C. Bryan Commission
This collection includes a commission for W. P. D. C. Bryan as the Justice of the Peace for Cheatham County, Tenn. The commission is dated April 21, 1860 and from Nashville, Davidson County, Tenn. It is signed by the Governor of Tennessee, Isham G. Harris, and by the Tennessee Secretary of State, J. E. R. Ray.

The W. Stuart Evans Collection spans from 1972 through 1986 and consists of correspondence, proposals, and publications relating to the design and administration of the Knoxville International Energy Exposition (KIEE), also known as the 1982 World's Fair.
W. Stuart Evans Collection
The W. Stuart Evans Collection consists of one box of subject files and correspondence. The bulk of the materials include correspondence between Evans and such prominent University of Tennessee personalities as Edward J. Boling and Andy Holt.
W. T. Kennerly Memorandum Regarding the Death of General John H. Morgan
W. T. Kennerly wrote this memorandum in 1936 to record a conversation he had with John Bell Brownlow in approximately 1912 regarding Brownlow's memories of General John H. Morgan's death. Brownlow witnessed Morgan's death while commanding the 9th Tennessee Cavalry (USA) near Greeneville, Tennessee in 1864. Two versions of the memorandum are present. One is a typewritten final copy and the other a photocopy of a draft bearing Kennerly's handwritten annotations.
W. V. Giles Letter
In this letter, W. V. Giles of Sumner County, Tennessee tells Edwin Giles about a blood shower that took place recently in Lebanon, Tennessee. He also discusses a political demonstration in Gallatin, Tennessee in response to President Tyler's recent veto of a bill to establish a National Bank.
W. W. Woodruff Papers
This collection contains two ledgers of purchased items from John Cruze in 1868 and 1869, from Woodruff’s hardware store. Also contained is a receipt of payment from John Cruze, signed by Woodruff, a certificate for one share of stock in the Eastern Division Fair Association, and a Certificate of Distinction from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, giving W. W. Woodruff a note of distinction in Latin, dated June 5, 1888.
Wade Keyes Letter
This collection consists of a brief letter from Wade Keyes dated Richmond, August 14, 1861, to J. L. Ramsey in Knoxville. Keyes confirms Ramsey's appointment as attorney for the District of Tennessee.
Wallace McClure Collection on Gone With the Wind
This collection houses a variety of materials that Wallace McClure collected regarding the book, movie, and stage versions of Gone With the Wind. Among these items are a transcribed telegram from Margaret Mitchell Marsh, a State Department report, reminiscences from Anne McClure and Josephine Powell Beaty, a book review, two magazines, a 20-page program from the movie, and many newspaper clippings.
Wallace McClure Letter
This collection consists of a single draft letter written by Wallace McClure. The letter was written to a former professor and concerns McClure's future. In the letter, he discusses his career goals and future education, noting that he "did not intend to make the law my life work; to do so has never in fact been my intention."
