Abstract These six ledgers document the financial status of various national banks in Knoxville between 1887 and 1930. The five banks most frequently mentioned are the Holston National Bank, the Third National Bank, the Mechanics National Bank, the City National Bank at Knoxville, and the East Tennessee National Bank.
