Abstract
In an October 20, 1839, letter to an unknown recipient, Thomas H. Benton, a U. S. Senator and Tennessee General Assemblyman, describes his situation in Lexington, Virginia. Benton briefly describes selling property and his gratitude to the recipient for the "100 Satt Documents." Benton also states he is much obliged to the "Bk. Of W."
