Abstract

This collection consists of two undated photographs relating to the Chattanooga Lookouts baseball team. One portrays a Lookouts player standing with four other men in baseball attire, and the other depicts a crowd, presumably watching a baseball game, in Chattanooga's Engel Stadium.

Abstract

This collection consists of a single photograph album with photographs taken by Thomas Hughes. The photographs were taken during 1898-1899 with one dating as early as 1863. The images document scenery as well as everyday life in Tennessee, with the bulk of the photographs from Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain. The subjects of the images include individuals, families, cemeteries, homes, and chapels. Most of the photographs include a handwritten caption of location identification.
