Abstract

This collection houses a typescript copy of the document establishing the Maude Powell Student's Aid Fund at the University of Tennessee. The fund was created using $5,000 from Maude Powell's estate by her mother, Sarah (Drake) Powell, and sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and James Allen Smith.

Mildred Simpson Scrapbook

Abstract This collection houses a scrapbook compiled by Mildred Simpson documenting her time at the University of Tennessee (1937-1940). It includes such memorabilia as invitations and programs for Greek sponsored events and university sponsored games, plays, and ceremonies, newspaper articles, photographs, and clippings from the society pages.
