This collection consists of three letters written from the years 1917-1918 by University of Tennessee professor of English, Dr. J. Douglas Bruce. All three letters are directed to Dr. Albert C. Baugh, a renowned English professor at the University of Pennsylvania. In the letters, Dr. Bruce discusses his work as well as Dr. Baugh's work in the field of English Literature.

This collection houses material documenting James A. Perkins' Robert Penn Warren and The Cass Mastern Material. Contained herein are edited manuscripts, editors' notes, original drafts, and correspondence between James A. Perkins and various people related to the book.

This collection contains material for the 2006 publication Selected Letters of Robert Penn Warren: Triumph and Transition, 1943-1952 (Volume 3), edited by Randy Hendricks, James A. Perkins, and William Bradford Clark. Most of the material is copies of Warren's letters with edits by Perkins. There are also drafts and a page proof of the manuscript, as well as correspondence with the publisher, Louisiana State University Press.

Collection contains James Perkins' research material for his book The Cass Mastern Material, which explores the variations in Robert Penn Warren's work. Correspondence, an interview, electronic copies of his book, and paper copies of Warren's plays are included.
