The Frank Lamson-Scribner Drawings Collection includes 188 pen drawings of various grasses and plants found in Tennessee, dated from 1892 to 1894.

The bulk of this collection is made up of 129 ink sketches on the backs of index cards (most including the plant name) and full-page ink drawings showing the different species of Camellis plants. These materials also include notes concerning Thompson's drawings, correspondence from various magazine publishers about drawings that Thompson submitted to them, a collection of magazine articles and images created by Thompson, and three issues of Home Gardening including Thompson's work.
