Abstract This collection contains letters and other papers documenting members of the McAmis family and their descendants across 90 years. The bulk of this collection consists of letters that family and friends in Tazewell wrote to Mattie (Weir) McAmis during the Civil War. Many of these letters were authored by Mattie's eldest daughters, Mary and Maggie.
