Evan's Battalion Payroll, undated
This collection consists of a transcribed copy of a statement of payroll for the men who served as officers and soldiers in Evan's Battalion under the 1786 Act of the Assembly of North Carolina. The statement book documents shortages in men by death, additions by enactments, substitutions, promotions, and payment in land. This record book was found at the North Carolina Military Warrants, Land Office at the State Archives in Nashville, Tennessee.
