This collection contains a packet of research from Roy H. Heiskell and a newspaper article, both regarding information on his ancestor, Charles M. Heiskell, who participated at the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. The documents include letters, a typescript of his research records, and a copy of a newspaper story pertaining to Charles M. Heiskell. Charles M. Heiskell's heirs were awarded grants of land as a result of his heroic death at the Alamo.
