Charles M. Heiskell's heirs were awarded grants of land as a result of his heroic death at the Alamo.

This collection features a twelve-chapter manuscript of Early Inns and Hostelries in the East Tennessee Country, 1760-1860 written by LaReine Warden Clayton. This is a draft of her later book, published in 1995, Stories of Early Inns and Taverns of the East Tennessee Country.
