Reminiscences of a Confederate Soldier

This collection consists of photocopies of articles written in the early 1900s by Confederate soldier Charles Stephen Olin "C.S.O." Rice's memories of events in the Civil War. In four of the articles, Rice writes about his Civil War experiences including the campaign at Vicksburg during 1862-1863 and the Battle of Nashville in December 1864. Two of the articles were published in The Enterprise in 1904 and one was published in the Lauderdale County Enterprise in 1914. Also included is an obituary of Rice printed in the State Gazette out of Dyersburg, TN from 1924.
