This collection consists of materials related to Marguerite Bartlett Hamer. A few handwritten letters dated 1879-1888 reference Calvin John Bartlett, presumably an ancestor of Marguerite's. A photograph is included from May 13, 1969; although unmarked, it is presumably Marguerite. In addition are two articles written by Hamer: "Report on the International Status of Slavery" from May 1918 and "A Century before Manumission: Sidelights on Slavery in Mid-eighteenth Century South Carolina."
