Correspondence, 1864 February 9-10
The material consists of two handwritten letters by William W. Fish during February 1864. The earliest letter, written over February 9 and 10, is addressed to Fish's sister, Martha, and is written from a camp at Lyon's Mill, just outside Knoxville, TN. In this letter, Fish mainly discusses his health and the food available to them. The second latter, written over February 19 and 20, is addressed to Fish's brother, Charles, and is written from Knoxville. Fish discusses his unit's movements leading up to their stay in Knoxville as well as information on Brownlow.
