Tap Roots Original Screenplay, 1948
This collection contains the original screenplay for the 1948 film Tap Roots, directed by George Marshall and starring actors Van Heflin, Susan Hayward, Boris Karloff, Julie London, and Whitfield Connor. The film is adapted from James H. Street's 1942 novel of the same name by screenwriters Alan LeMay and Lionel Wiggam. The film is set in Mississippi, and shot on location in the rural area near Gatlinburg, Tennessee and in the Great Smoky Mountains region of North Carolina. The screenplay is 146 pages, bound in red titled wrappers, and has pencil notations throughout.
