The two civil war prints in this particular folder are from a book, Famous Leaders and Battle Scenes of the Civil War, by Frank Leslie, published in 1896. The first print is entitled "The War in Tennessee.-Hooker's Battle Above the Clouds, and Capture of the Confederate Position on Lookout Mountain November 24th, 1863." The second print is entitled "The War in Tennessee.-Capture of Mission Ridge, New Rossville, by General Thomas, November 25th, 1863." There is also mention of who sketched the second print, C. E. F. Hillen.
