Photographs (photocopies), 1944-1945
This collection documents Francis Mooney's time as a pilot with the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II. Included is a transcript of an interview conducted with Mooney (by his son Francis Mooney Jr.) in 1983 detailing Mooney’s WWII experiences. The transcript is a 95-page typescript and does include some handwritten edits. Also included in this collection are photocopies of photographs of Mooney from 1944-1945, largely depicting him with planes during his time in France, and a copy of “The Odyssey of the 324th Fighter Group” (photocopy), originally published in 1945.
