James T. Knight Papers, 1944-2013
The James T. Knight Papers collection consists of photographs, letters, copies of newspaper articles, and a typed journal regarding Knight's military during World War II.
The 13 photographs in this collection are snapshots from Knight's service in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific from 1944 to 1945. The typed journal documents the travel of troops from San Francisco to New Guinea in 1944. The newspaper articles contain information on his return to America as well as his obituary. Many items in the collection are accompanied by notes written by Knight's sister Virginia Knight Nelson.
