This collection documents the World War II experiences of soldier Delmar Wiley who was declared missing in action for seven months in the Pacific Theater of War after his aircraft was attacked and shot down. The collection contains Wiley's autobiography, entitled Wiley's Island (1986), which chronicles his life and his WWII experiences. The collection also includes a pamphlet for the USS Yorktown CV-5 Club entitled "The Crier and Bylaws" (1986), and a photocopy of the article "My Lovin' Dove" from Liberty Magazine (1943).
