Memorandum of Marches of John Durham, 1861-1863

This document describes the Civil War service and movements of John Durham.

Durham starts the registry of marches in which he participates with his enlistment on August 23, 1861 at Camp Cameron, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Numerous places and description of travel are included. He mentions the number of men killed in battle, the scenery, etc. Durham resided in Perry County prior to his enlistment.

No regiment is listed but Durham most likely served with the 7th Regiment, Pennsylvania Cavalry 80th Volunteers, although there are several units whose service records match the marches described.
