This collection contains the papers of F. A. W. Bill Davis, who worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Spanning the first half of the 20th century (but mainly from the 1930s), papers include correspondence, photographs, blueprints, publications and a few pieces of fabric. These documents primarily concern civil engineering topics and are by Bill Davis, TVA, Impact Tools, Inc., or others. There are also patents, blueprints, tool designs, etc., which relate to Bill's father Lewis K. Davis, inventor and vice president of Impact Tools, Inc.
