James Strawbridge Letter, 1863 June 10
This collection consists of a letter written by James Strawbridge from a floating hospital in Nashville, Tenn., on June 10, 1863. The letter mentions a dispatch from Jefferson Davis that was captured by General Blair's division, and describes a battle between the Rebels and a black regiment, who he says "fight with a degree of intelligence and determination unequaled by the whites."
