 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1
From the Collection:

This collection contains two letters from Edgar Arthurs, one to his sister and one to his brother. Both letters were written from Columbia, Tennessee, while his unit was marching from Nashville, Tennessee to Athens, Alabama. Arthurs speaks of the nisecountry. He reports that the soldiers had no problem getting forage, having plenty of melons and apples. He seems to think his regiment have left Nashville this time for good.
