Douglass, Wood, & Co. Notice, 1836 June 17
Nashville, 17th June, 1836,
The increased demand on our time and attention, arising out of our business at New Orleans, has rendered it necessary for us to reduce our business at this place. We have, therefore, disposed of our entire Stock of Goods to Messrs. Gibson & Winston, who will continue the business as heretofore. An intimate acquaintance with those Gentlemen, both of whom possess business qualifications of a high order; the very respectable capital with which they commence; and above all, their integrity and industry, warrant us in recommending them to the confidence and patronage of our friends.
Very respectfully,
DOUGLASS, WOOD, & CO.
Referring you to the annexed circular, we respectfully make you a tender of our services, with an assurance that no effort on our part shall be spared to render satisfaction to all those who may be pleased to confide their business to our management.
Your Obedient Servants,
GIBSON & WINSTON.
