Dear Sister
I sat my self down to let you know that I am well at present and hope that these few lines may find you in the same state of health. well matta I have come out of another fight safe and sound with the exception of getting my ankle hurt but it is a good deal better now. well matta I wrote you a letter a few weeks ago and I think that it is time I was getting a letter from you now. I said that I would send you some money but I thought that I would would wate till I got a letter from you but it seams that you doant write. and I have sent my money all to uncle addam but I will write a order for you to go to him and he will let you have some money for I know that you nead some clothes. I will give you an order for ten dollars and the you can get such clothes as you want, tell me whear you are living at and how you like your home. tell Susan and Bill that I am well and send my love to them and also a good share for yourself. now matta write as soon as you get this and let me know wether you got that money or not. tell Susan that I wrote to them a few days a go and am looking for a letter from them. no more pleas write soon
