Records regarding Knoxville Physicians, circa 1880s-circa 1910s
This collection houses prescription sheets, patient lists, patient instructions, and billing information sheets from ledger books created and maintained by numerous Knoxville area physicians and druggists. Among the pharmacists named on the prescriptions are Wade H. Gooch of the Doyle Drug Store in Doyle, Tennessee and H. R. Rosenthal of Knoxville, Tennessee. Another prescription mentions Dr. J. P. Tillery and provides the address of his office in the Harris building, and the reverse side of one of the ledger pages contains an illustration of a doctor caring for a sick girl.
