Knoxville Medical Bibliography and Articles, circa 1940s

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1
From the Collection:

This collection consists primarily of two bibliographies related to the Knoxville Academy of Medicine and the Tennessee State Medical Association. One bibliography arranges medical articles alphabetically by the author’s last name and is typed on the reverse side of Knoxville Academy of Medicine and Knox County Tuberculosis Society letterhead. A second bibliography is arranged chronologically and lists articles published between 1832 and 1937. The articles, most dating from the last quarter of the nineteenth century, include such local medical topics as meeting transactions of the East Tennessee Medical Society, an article on the history of surgery in Tennessee, and the state of cholera in Knoxville in 1873. Both the chronological bibliography and the articles were typewritten onto carbon paper; the articles contain duplicates.
