Receipt of Bounty for the Return of Stolen Horses
This document contains a list of items given to two Cherokee people in exchange for the return of ten horses stolen from the Creek Nations. In lieu of money, the payment was in goods. The date of the original agreement was December 22, 1797. The receipt of the items was witnessed and signed by Francis B. Sappington and Edmund Crutcher, Indian Agents, on January 30, 1798.
