Abstract
William Maclin, Secretary of State for Tennessee, on May 24, 1799 issued a bill for the United States government concerning the boarding of eight Creek Indians for 33 1/2 cents each (including one gallon of whiskey) for two nights in Nashville, TN.

Abstract
This document contains a list of items given to two Cherokee Indians in exchange for the return of ten horses stolen from the Creek Nations. In lieu of money, the payment was in goods. The document was signed by several Indian Agents, including Francis B. Sappington, in December 1797 and January 1798.
