Biographical/Historical Note
Charlotte Kefauver Johnes, the aunt of politician Estes Kefauver, was born in 1874 to Jacob Peter and Nancy Reeves Cooke Kefauver. She lived in Madisonville and was married to John Conway Johnes. She died in 1965 and is buried in the Kefauver Family Cemetery in Monroe County, Tennessee.
