Abstract
This collection houses photocopies of newspaper clippings, a certificate, and a letter documenting Ned F. Smith's service during World War II.
Biographical/Historical Note
Ned F. Smith was born to Floyd W. and Ethel Smith in Brooklyn, Wisconsin on December 31, 1916. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Forces in the southwest Pacific and was later stationed in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. His brother, Miles M., Smith, served in the weather squadron of the Air Corps. Ned Smith died on November 14, 2001.
