Abstract
This collection houses meeting minutes, reports, papers, notes, and records of awards documenting the activities of the University of Tennessee's Commission for Women from 1970 to 2002. The bulk of the material dates from the 1980s.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Commission for Women is an advisory committee that reports to the Chancellor of the University. It is charged with evaluating the status of women on the campus, assessing new and existing programs for professional development, and keeping the community informed of programs relating to women. Jack Reese was Chancellor during most of the years covered in this collection.
